Tape License

Copyright (c) 2018-2026 Puida Ltd. All rights reserved.

1. USE

Tape is free to use. You may install and use the Tape compiler, standard
library, and runtime for any purpose - personal, educational, or commercial -
on any number of machines, at no cost and without registering.

2. RESTRICTIONS

You may not redistribute Tape itself. The compiler, the standard library, and
the Tape distribution as a whole may not be copied, published, mirrored,
bundled, resold, or otherwise made available to third parties, whether modified
or unmodified. Direct people to tapelang.org instead.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Tape, or otherwise
attempt to derive its source code.

The permission in clause 3 to ship the Tape runtime libraries alongside your own
compiled programs is an exception to the first paragraph of this clause.

3. PROGRAMS YOU BUILD

Programs you compile with Tape are yours. Puida Ltd claims no rights over them
and places no restrictions on them: you may use, license, sell, or distribute
your programs however you like, commercially or not, and owe no royalties,
fees, or attribution.

You may redistribute the Tape runtime libraries - tapert100, gfx, image, and
uwm - alongside programs you compile, as needed for those programs to run.

4. SOURCE CODE

Tape is closed source. The source is not published, but it may be available on
request - write to hello@puida.com.

5. NO WARRANTY

Tape is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied,
including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by
law, Puida Ltd shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability
- whether in contract, tort, or otherwise - arising from or in connection with
Tape, its use, or programs built with it.
